How to Use the Ingress Protection (IP) Checker
- Step 1: Check your Bluetooth speaker’s IP rating (e.g., IP67, IPX5). The first number shows dust protection, and the second number shows waterproofing.
- Step 2: Use the first dropdown to select the dust protection level that matches your speaker’s rating. A short explanation will appear instantly.
- Step 3: Use the second dropdown to select the water protection level. Again, the meaning of that rating will display in real time.
- Step 4: Use this information to understand exactly how resistant your device is to dust, splashes, heavy rain, or full submersion.
- Step 5: If your device shows an “X” for either number (e.g., IPX7), simply leave that dropdown on “Not Rated” for that category.
